Being a Mum is like flying a kite, you never know which way it is going to turn, it can turn really fast and end up crashing. Or it can just float happily and peacefully in one place, or simply sway from side to side

You Capture - Fun

Fun is such a good topic for a capture when you have small children. They are so much fun, hard work sometimes but lots of fun the rest of the time.

Here are my fun pictures. The children decided it was a good idea to wear Daddy and Nana’s jackets, they thought that it was great fun.

Lots of other fun photos at I Should be folding Laundry

You Capture - Best Shot

This weeks You Capture was to give the best shot for the week, just one photo. Well this was a little tricky as I usually use my best shot for my Photo of the Week. But this is a good one.

This photo was actually taken by the Little Man, while he was having a lovely time with his Dad at the play area. We have had a fair bit of rain this week, so what better place to take the children than and indoor play area.

It is nice to see my husband having fun with the children, he loves them and they love him.

It will be fun to

You Capture - Sky

Yes I loved the topic for this week, which was Sky. The sky is such a great thing to photograph as it is always changing. It is never the same from one day to the next.

I like to look at the sky through the trees, as it kind of frames it for you. So here is one that I took through the trees.

Then the clouds, they are forever changing.

The colour of the sky is always different also, I love a pink sky at dusk.

And of course the Moon, the sky wouldn’t be the sky without the moon. Fantastic.

Enjoy what others have done for their Sky captures

You Capture - Depth of Field

Ok now this was a tricky one this week, I am not that good at photography, but of course I had to give it a go and see how I would go, so here is what I captured this week for depth of field.

I hope that I did OK, I know they are not fantastic, but you have to start somewhere.

I think that I need to do some work on depth of field, but I still think that I did reasonably well. I just saw the ferns and thought that I should try the close up fern with the others in the background.

Now check out other depth of field picture

You Capture - Yellow

Yellow - this was an interesting topic for this weeks capture. I ummed and ahhhed about what I was going to do, I thought about what I was going to capture, during the week, while I was wandering around. But I could only come up with a few bits from around the house, as it has been a bit chaotic around here this week.

Firstly a yellow piece from the game connect four. Both of the children are way to young for this game, and I have tried to teach the little man how to play, but it is more fun to just put the pieces in and see what pattern

You Capture - Autumn {again}

Yes the topic for this week was Autumn again, as Beth liked it so much the first time, she thought that we should give it another go, I am glad that she did.

As I mentioned in You Capture - Autumn last week, I really really love the autumn leaves that have fallen on the ground. The noise they make when you walk on them, and just watching the children play in them, throwing them up in the air.

Well we met a friend at the park the other day, and there was some great leaves for us to play in, I just couldn’t resist taking shots of them playing in the leaves.

You Capture - Autumn

Ok I know, this weeks capture topic was Spring, but it isn’t Spring in Australia it is Autumn. So here are a couple of captures of Autumn here is Oz.

I just love Autumn when the leaves change colour and start to fall, covering the ground with crunchy leaves. Don’t you just love the sound they make when you walk through them.

Here is a tree that I spied and thought that it really gave the feel of Autumn.

I do love looking at spring though, so check out Spring at I should be folding laundry

You Capture - Sweet

You Capture - Sweet

When I saw that the capture for this week was Sweet, I just knew that it would have to be pictures of my sweet little faces, of course I am a bit biased as they are my sweet little children (not that I would say that all the time of course).

We did a bit of a photo shoot the other day in the garden of the children modeling my hats that I am going to selling, so you even get a sneak peak at them before they go up on our new web site.

He is a natural!

You Capture - Fresh

Out in the Fresh Air

Really wasn’t sure what to do for this weeks capture, but we decided to get out in the fresh air, at the beach, making the most of it before it gets to cold. In the photos it looks like it was a bit cold, but it was actually just right, not too hot, and not too cold.

Reminds me of the movie The Storm Boy (for those of you who have seen it)

Pelicans are just great. This one was being cheeky, there were a few fishermen fishing off the rocks and he was hanging around waiting for them to catch a fish, then

You Capture - Comfort

Looks so Comfortable

Firstly I have to say that they are not the greatest of photos, but it was a moment that I needed to capture, my iphone was the closest thing to me at the time.

I scotch guarded the couch the night before and it was still a little damp, so I told the children that they shouldn’t sit on the couch while it was damp, so lets put all the cushions in front of it and they could sit on those. It looked so comfortable.

Little Miss almost got lost amongst the cushions. Little Man thought that it was great fun.

The moment that I captured, was that they both looked
