We went away for 10 days and it was great fun again. We didn’t however have the great weather that we did with the last trip. We managed to get stuck in a really bad storm, the awning on the caravan blew up and broke the leg (which we managed to fix) and the tent vestibule blew up in the air. The children were fast asleep in the tent at the time, little Miss slept through the whole thing. Luckily the little Man woke up when we had got everything back together again. Phew what a night.

Then another few nights later we got a hail storm, the little man thought it was great, he was out eating the hail stone, oh what fun. We did have some really beautiful days, but the weather is all over the place at the moment you never know what you are going to get.

After the first down pour of rain the children couldn’t help themselves they just had to go and play in the mud, what fun, I remember I loved to make mud pies when I was that age.

Rain stopped and off came the rain coats, but we still played in the mud, and got it all over our clothes now.

Why not just get in the bucket that would be easier

It was pouring down with rain so Daddy decided to have a shower under the water coming off the awning on the caravan. Little Man thought that this was hilarious.

At the next camping area we were right on the Lakes edge, this is such a lovely picture of the boys.

Rainy Day fun on our second last day, Ten pin bowling, had a great time. Not sure about the little mans style here but it seemed to have worked for him, he came 2nd overall.

One day we decided that we would go fishing, we went to Narooma and walked along the board walk, stopping for a spot of fishing.

It ended up getting so cold that we abandoned the fishing and went home brrrrrrrr we had to snuggle up to keep warm.

Someone is a very cheeky girl, she jumped into Nana’s bed and said “Me take Nana’s pillow”

The fountain is coming out of the Little Mans head - too funny!

Nana & Grandad have a vege patch and whenever we come down the little man helps in the garden. This time we planted some beans and beetroot. He went and checked on them this afternoon and apparently they are still little. What a surprise we only planted them 2 days ago. Kids are so funny and so innocent.

But we did get to pick a cauliflower which was yummy. Here is the little man with the cauli.

But wait here it is, it isn’t at big as the shop ones but my Nana & Grandad grew it so I don’t care.

Happy Fathers Day - Even to the non Fathers

We had a lovely weekend for Fathers Day, spent time with all the family. Not sure who has the back pack in this picture

Happy Fathers Day even to all you non fathers out there, you know who you are. You are important to the children as well. The fathers away from their own fathers.

Box Full of Cuteness - Wk56

We had a wonderful time, everyone involved enjoyed themselves, as you will see from the photos that I am just about to bombard you with.

Our first day, we didn’t leave home until late so we only stopped just outside of the suburbs, still in a National Park so we still had Kangaroos all around us in the morning when we came out, but it wasn’t to far to drive. We didn’t really want to be putting our tent up in the dark on our first attempt, which we were all glad about after the fact as well, as it wasn’t the easiest, but by the end of the 2 weeks we were really good at it.

First Day some fun on the swings, we camped just near the play area and as we were the only one in the camp area, the children had it to themselves.

I was sure that it said hot showers on the information, but we couldn’t find them on the first day, we found them the second fortunately, so the children ended up having a bath in the bucket. They both thought that was the funniest thing.

Of course the adults couldn’t miss out on all the fun.

Moving on to our next camp ground, another National Park, this was our favourite. It was pretty cold in the evening, hense the big fire. Also you have to have fire toast when you can!

We went for a walk in the afternoon after lunch and made it to the top of Bald Hill. Even after all the whinging on the way up, they still managed to make themselves look so cute for the picture.

I just couldn’t resist this picture, Little Miss insisted on walking by herself with my hat on. Nice one!

Moving on again, another National Park, lots of walks this time. My husband and I decided on one day that we would leave the children with the grandparents and go on one of the walks. Of course we decided to one of the longer walks and walked for 5 hours, 14.5km. The view from the top was worth the climb/walk, it was fantastic.

We also did some other walks with the children and the grandparents.

Then to top the holiday off we went to Dubbo Zoo, which is a fantastic Zoo that you can drive, ride or walk around.  The first day we drove around to check it all out, then the second day, the children both fed the Giraffe and then we rode around the Zoo on bikes, both Little Miss and Little Man loved it and had a great couple of days.

Overall we had a great time and we will definitely do it again, of course going somewhere different. I recommend anyone to go camping if it is something that they enjoy doing.

Well I did say that I would attempt to do a year in review for 2009, well I decided that I would put together a few of my favourite pictures of 2009.  So lets start at the beginning as that is usually a good place to start.

So there you have it a few of my favourite pictures from 2009, you will have seen other favourites of mine already posted on my blog, tried not to double up.

As my Mum lives a fair way away, we all jumped in the car and met half way for lunch (that is still a 2 & a half hour drive). Mum didn’t know that this is what was happening, it was a surprise. Which it was, and we had a lovely lunch at a winery and ate and drank far to much, but had a lovely time just the same.

Mum you are a very special person, and we all love you very much. I have said it in another post and I will say it again. I hope that my children love me as much as we love you, that will make me a very happy Mum indeed!.

My Favourite - The Family

Little Miss has eaten Ice-cream from a spoon, but from a stick was a whole new thing. She seemed to really enjoy it, and she managed to eat the whole thing, making a LOT of mess. I did think to my self that she would make a mess so she was only wearing her T-shirt, Bib and nappy.

It is strange when I think of eating an ice-cream, I now wonder what it was like when I ate my first ice-cream, what did my face look like when I took my first bite?  It is funny how when we watch our own children grow it makes us wonder what we were like when we were that age.

We often live our own lives through our children, I often apoligise to my parents now for things that I may have done that would have drove them insane, just like my children do to me. Sorry Mum & Dad!

The day was a beautiful one, it was a lovely spring day, it was a little windy but other than that it was perfect.

So really this post is to just say a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the childrens POP.
