Merry Christmas

Just want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. It is hard to believe that another year has gone by, but then again when I look back a lot has happened in that year. Now it is time to enjoy your holiday and time with your family and friends before welcoming 2011.

I think that we did really well with our family Christmas photo this year, if I do say so myself..

We had a great day at the park on the weekend. Just a few friends, it was a really windy day so it was a perfect day for flying kite..

We didn’t have any kites when we went to the park, we weren’t even thinking about flying kites. But it just so happened that a wonderful Auntie & Uncle S gave the children a kite for their Christmas present. I was going to make them put it under the tree, but they decided to open them there and then. Lucky they did really or we wouldn’t have been able to fly those kites..

Yesterday we were invited by some friends to join them at Carols in the Park. We don’t like to do late nights with the children as we pay for it the next day, but why not it is Christmas.

It was a lovely evening, we had lots of fun singing along to the carols, the children had fun running around. I am glad that we did go as it was a good night with good friends and the children enjoyed themselves. (Yes we did pay for it today)

As you can see from the photos little miss was really enjoying this ice cream.

On the Weekend Daddy decided that as it was starting to warm up and we wanted to sit out on the deck and have lunch, it would be a good idea to give it a bit of a clean.

Well of course he ended up with a couple of little helpers to help him clean the deck. Of course this then turned out to be a lot of fun and lots of silly time to be had. Like ending up in the bucket of water, instead of using the bucket of water to clean the deck.

Dressing up is so much fun. This week we have had a bit of dress up fun in our house, it is very funny..

First Little Miss decided it would be a good idea to put on Little Mans Singlet and underpants over the top of her clothes. Then do the cleaning whilst playing the harmonica, it was hilarous, I am so glad that I captured these for the future.

Then the little Man insisted on being a snow man and wanted to have a carrot nose and other fruit eyes. What better to stick it to your face than sticky tape.

It was Auntie B’s Birthday on the 15th, as we were still with Nana & Grandad we didn’t get a chance to have a party or anything with her.

Fortunately Uncle had been organising one already for the weekend, so we were able to celebrate with Auntie B when we got back home.

Had a really lovely lunch with lots of friends and family, yes Nana & Grandad came home with us on Friday so the little people were very excited about that.

The Little Man really really wanted to try fishing and has kept on long enough to Grandad. Grandad finally while shopping bought the little man a fishing rod all of his own.

So off the three of them went, down the wharf at the end of Nana & Grandad’s street, and tried out the little mans new fishing rod.

They had a great time, I went down to see what was going on and said to the little man, have you caught any fish yet. He said “No, but that isn’t the point, we are having a good time” Well sorry!. Sometimes I am not sure how old he really is, going

Wow where did that go. It is hard to believe that Little Miss turned 2. What a day it was.

Happy Birthday Little One, you will still always be our baby.

Sorry that it didn’t turn out to be the greatest birthday, but at least you are little and didn’t really know what was going on.

The story is that Little Misses Daddy was running for the train on the way home from work on Friday night and he tripped and broke his leg, he ended up in emergency on the night of little miss’ birthday. Her birthday party with family was canceled on the Saturday night as Daddy was

You will all be pleased that little miss has decided that is it Ok to sleep in her bed now. YAY!!!

It has taken a while but we have finally done it. The little Man is still sleeping in our bed until I go to bed and then I put  him back in his own bed. But I think that we should be able to get him to start in his own bed tomorrow night, we will just have to see how it goes.
