We didn’t have any kites when we went to the park, we weren’t even thinking about flying kites. But it just so happened that a wonderful Auntie & Uncle S gave the children a kite for their Christmas present. I was going to make them put it under the tree, but they decided to open them there and then. Lucky they did really or we wouldn’t have been able to fly those kites..

Kites are so much fun, even the big people have fun, I actually think that they may have had more fun than the the little ones.. :o)

Little Man really loves anything to do with the circus, Nana & Pop have taken him to the circus a couple of times and he loves it, so when he found out about the party he was so excited.

One of his favourites was spinning the plate on the stick, he was getting good at it by the end of the party. He could hold it up really high, he didn’t quite get the spinning part happening but he was having fun anyway.

Next was the circus ring, this was great fun spinning around and swinging back and forth.

What would the circus be without standing up on the trapeze. Way to go!!

It was a lovely evening, we had lots of fun singing along to the carols, the children had fun running around. I am glad that we did go as it was a good night with good friends and the children enjoyed themselves. (Yes we did pay for it today)

We went away for 10 days and it was great fun again. We didn’t however have the great weather that we did with the last trip. We managed to get stuck in a really bad storm, the awning on the caravan blew up and broke the leg (which we managed to fix) and the tent vestibule blew up in the air. The children were fast asleep in the tent at the time, little Miss slept through the whole thing. Luckily the little Man woke up when we had got everything back together again. Phew what a night.

Then another few nights later we got a hail storm, the little man thought it was great, he was out eating the hail stone, oh what fun. We did have some really beautiful days, but the weather is all over the place at the moment you never know what you are going to get.

After the first down pour of rain the children couldn’t help themselves they just had to go and play in the mud, what fun, I remember I loved to make mud pies when I was that age.

Rain stopped and off came the rain coats, but we still played in the mud, and got it all over our clothes now.

Why not just get in the bucket that would be easier

It was pouring down with rain so Daddy decided to have a shower under the water coming off the awning on the caravan. Little Man thought that this was hilarious.

At the next camping area we were right on the Lakes edge, this is such a lovely picture of the boys.

Rainy Day fun on our second last day, Ten pin bowling, had a great time. Not sure about the little mans style here but it seemed to have worked for him, he came 2nd overall.

Auntie B is always finding out about these great art exhibits that are hiding around this city. This one was especially good as it was for the kids, though I don’t know who had more fun the kids or the adults.

As you first walked in the door there was a exhibition of airplanes and flying things that children had made from recycled paper and bits that people had thrown away, at the bottom was another pile of recycled bits so that you could have a go and making something yourself. Which of course the little man and his Dad had a great time with. Auntie B had a go with little miss but I don’t think there was much of a finished product, but still lots of fun was had anyway.

Then last but not least they had to sit in front of a mirror and draw what they saw, this is a picture of what the little man sees when he looks in the mirror, wow what big ears you have.

It was a really great day and we all had lots of fun.

One day we decided that we would go fishing, we went to Narooma and walked along the board walk, stopping for a spot of fishing.

It ended up getting so cold that we abandoned the fishing and went home brrrrrrrr we had to snuggle up to keep warm.

Someone is a very cheeky girl, she jumped into Nana’s bed and said “Me take Nana’s pillow”

Well they both loved it especially the Little Man. As Daddy was away in the US he decided that he would do some drawings for Daddy and I had to take a picture of them and email them to him so he could see.

This was just before we had fish and chips on the wharf by the water, was a beautiful day.

This was on a different day, this park had lots of stuff to play on. This was definitely a good find.

Nana proves that you are never too old to play at the park.

Little Miss was a little unsure about this swing, Grandad was pushing them and her face got that scared look on it and she called out to stop.. You can kind of see the face in this picture, she is holding on for dear life.

I have been lucky enough to enjoy the cherry blossom festival in Japan, so it was nice to see a Japanese garden with all the blossoms in full bloom. Takes me back.

The children enjoyed the day, they had lots of other activities and things to look at on your way around the gardens. They had Sumo wrestling and karate which the little man enjoyed watching, but it all got too much and they both got really tired so it was time to move on, so we took them to the park.

Some general pictures from the rest of the weekend in Cowra, it was a nice weekend and the weather was perfect.

We found this museum type place, which had soooo much stuff in it. The little people found it interesting to see all the old bits and pieces. They are standing on a boat propeller with the guns from the boat behind them.

The last time I saw a mouse house was in the movie Grease. Big and little kids had a great time, even those with walking sticks.

The other day we were playing away with the playdoh and the little man says “look mummy, I have made an echidna” I was blown away when I came to have a look at what he had made.

Wow what a great echidna, it is fantastic, so good we had to keep it.
