Welcome to JustBeingaMum.com this is a blog that I have put together for other Mum’s and Dad’s out there who are just being parents.
- I will write bits and pieces about my family, and things that we do to get us through the days.
- I will write some product reviews of products that I use day to day, that make it just that little bit easier
- General stuff about children and how to cope with the day to day stuff that gets thrown at you.
- I will post a picture of the week, something fun that we have done during that week
- Some of our favourite books
I hope that you enjoy!
Who am I?
So you want to know a little bit about the person who is writing all these posts, well that would be me, Kim.
Welcome to my blog and I hope that you enjoy what you see, I enjoy writing it for you. I hope that you will come back on a regular basis to see what wonderful things I have come up with for you.
I live down under in Sydney, Australia, I am a Mum of two little people, my son who is now 3 years old and my daughter who is 1 year old, and a wife to my wonderful husband who we would find it very hard to live without.
I LOVE being a Mum, if you are a Mum you will know that it has its ups and downs on the way, you just have to go with the flow most of the time and you will find that you come out the other side, with all your arms and legs in tact, sometimes I wonder how, but you just do.
If you are a new Mum or just about to become a Mum then I hope that you can take something away from my posts that will help you on your way. I would love to think that I have helped someone in some way, shape or form. (please comment if you do, as I would love to hear from you!).
I was reading on another ladies blog the other day about how being a Mum can sometimes be a very lonely job, yet very rewarding at the same time. What she said was so true, some days you can just get the feeling that you would like someone else to talk to. It is certainly difficult if you have come from working with a great bunch of people, and then all of a sudden you are all alone with this small person that can’t do anything for themselves, let alone talk to you.
But then we are still happy to just sit there and watch them, and think to yourself that you, yes YOU created this little thing. It is a wonderful time in your life, and I wake up every morning, thinking “what do they have in stall for me today”, I LOVE every minute of it and wouldn’t change it for the world.
Then I was also thinking that if I am sitting here thinking and feeling this way, then there must be another bunch of you out there thinking and feeling very similar things. So why not share that thinking and feeling with you all, and maybe you will share some back. What a great idea!
Who are the little people?
My Little Man
This is my little man when he was a day old, he is now a very cute 3 year old who is a very loving and caring little thing. He is always thinking of his mummy, he gives the best hugs and kisses, he is very talkative and comes out with the best things, he really makes us all laugh.
He loves to play and just have fun, he is still not sure about his little sister, but I am sure that that will happen with time. He had all the attention for so long, it can’t be easy. The poor little man has had his ups and downs with allergies and sickness, but don’t they all at this age.
If you would like to read more about the little man then please see this post - This is our story - Part 1, The little Man.
My Little Miss
This is my little miss when she was a day old, she is now 1 year old and a beautiful little thing she is. She is very knowing and into everything, just like all little people at that age.
She takes everything in her stride, she was born with a cataract on her right eye and had to have it removed when she was 4 weeks old. She now has to wear a contact lens, which we have to change once a week. But she is coping really well and her sight has really improved.
I am a mother that follows instructions so if the doctor tells me to do something, I do it, even if I don’t really like it.
If you would like to read more about the little miss then please see this post - This is our story - Part 2, The little Miss
