Just Being a Mum

We had a lovely weekend away in Cowra at the Cherry Blossom festival at the Japanese Gardens. The Gardens were really pretty especially the cherry blossoms.

I have been lucky enough to enjoy the cherry blossom festival in Japan, so it was nice to see a Japanese garden with all the blossoms in full bloom. Takes me back.

The children enjoyed the day, they had lots of other activities and things to look at on your way around the gardens. They had Sumo wrestling and karate which the little man enjoyed watching, but it all got too much and they both got really tired so it was time to move on, so

Park Play

Managed to capture this great picture of the two of them being nice to each other at the park.

They really are best of friends, they are just siblings at the same time. If you have a brother or sister I am sure you know what I mean.

Face Painting - Wk59

I just love the saying a penny for your thoughts.

Don’t you wish sometimes you could just go inside their little minds and know what is going on in there.

You might take a random shot like the one below, then look at it and say to yourself “I wonder what she was thinking when that photo was taken” of course we are never going to know but it gets you thinking all the same.

The little people really love having their faces painted. Then again I don’t really know any child that doesn’t really.

The little Man wanted to be a lion this time, and the little miss a rainbow.

If it keeps them happy for a short period of time it is all good and lots of fun.

Tower of Trio Blocks - Wk58

On the Weekend Daddy decided that as it was starting to warm up and we wanted to sit out on the deck and have lunch, it would be a good idea to give it a bit of a clean.

Well of course he ended up with a couple of little helpers to help him clean the deck. Of course this then turned out to be a lot of fun and lots of silly time to be had. Like ending up in the bucket of water, instead of using the bucket of water to clean the deck.

Tower of Trio Blocks

The little Man and I decided that we would see if we could build something with all the trio blocks that we have in the box.

This is what we can up with, a giant tower of trio blocks.

It was great fun, we are not allowed to break it up now, so not sure what will happen when we really want to build something else from the blocks.

Happy Fathers Day - Wk57

The poor Little man has been suffering a bit with ear infections, then it was tonsilitis. So we took him off to the doctor to see what was going on. After his 3rd lot of antibiotics I knew there was something more.

He has been suffering with pain in his ears and has been very hard of hearing. At first I thought it was that he just didn’t want to hear me but then it just got worse. He would sit in the car and say pardon all the time, I was having to repeat myself all the time, I was getting frustrated so I knew that he must be also.

Gone are the day of the boring old School Photo, well at least for preschool anyway.

I was nearly blown away when I received the package of school photos the other day. Wow, I don’t remember school photos being like these. They are fantastic and I am really happy that he had these done.

They were done by a couple who run  Uber Photography and they have done a really great job of capturing the children doing what they do best, Playing..

Box Full of Cuteness - Wk56

You might remember my lovely day that I had on Mothers Day at Preschool, well yes the Dad’s get there turn also. Little Mans Daddy got to go and spend an hour with the Little  Man at his preschool.

The Little Man has been excited about Daddy coming to school with him for weeks, so when finally the day had arrived he was sooooo excited, it was hard to contain him all morning until it was time to leave.
