Being a Mum is like flying a kite, you never know which way it is going to turn, it can turn really fast and end up crashing. Or it can just float happily and peacefully in one place, or simply sway from side to side

Children Sleeping (or Not!)

I know that you don’t really want to hear my problems, but maybe some one out there is having the same issues with their child as I am with mine, and we can help each other out.

It just makes me want to scream, I am sure anyone that is or has been a Mum has felt this feeling. Don’t get me wrong I love them both to death, and I wouldn’t hurt them in any way. It is just a feeling. Being a parent is hard work let me tell you.

This is what has made me so cranky

Little Miss has decided that all of a sudden we are not going

Groucho Marx

Well what can I say with regards to these photos, they are hilarious. We were having a great time, and I just couldn’t miss the photo opportunity.

I hope that they give you a laugh as they certainly did when they were taken.

You Capture - Sky

Yes I loved the topic for this week, which was Sky. The sky is such a great thing to photograph as it is always changing. It is never the same from one day to the next.

I like to look at the sky through the trees, as it kind of frames it for you. So here is one that I took through the trees.

Then the clouds, they are forever changing.

The colour of the sky is always different also, I love a pink sky at dusk.

And of course the Moon, the sky wouldn’t be the sky without the moon. Fantastic.

Enjoy what others have done for their Sky captures

Becoming An Australian Citizen

A really good friend of mine was becoming an Australian citizen today. As I was the first person that she met when she arrived in the country in 2000, I thought that I should be at her ceremony to see her receive her certificate. She moved here from Germany in 2000 not knowing anyone, I met her through a friend, and it just so happened that I had a spare room for her to stay in at the time.

It was however a bit of an adventure for us to get there. Little Miss and I picked up the Little Man from Preschool and went on an adventure. We first stopped

Rain Stick or Shaker - Craft Project

This was really easy, and fun for the children, they both enjoyed themselves. Then they had fun with the finished product, and it isn’t too noisy for us either.

It is suppose to be a Rain Stick, when you turn the tube upside down slowly the sound is suppose to be like rain. But when a 4 and a 2 year do it, it is a bit more like a shaker, but fortunately not a loud one.  So here goes enjoy making this with your little ones.

This is what you need to make it:

Card board tube - the longer the tube the more rain sound you are going to get, we

Weekend Walk

This weekend, the little man decided that he would like to go for a bush walk. He remembers the walk that we did a while ago to the water falls.

Well even though the weather wasn’t the greatest we decided that is was a good idea, so off we went.

Little miss in the back pack on Daddy’s back, which she loves, she is always giving him cuddles on the way, and the little man and I walking along behind, trying to keep up.

It was a great walk and we will definitely do it again in the near future.

You Capture - Depth of Field

Ok now this was a tricky one this week, I am not that good at photography, but of course I had to give it a go and see how I would go, so here is what I captured this week for depth of field.

I hope that I did OK, I know they are not fantastic, but you have to start somewhere.

I think that I need to do some work on depth of field, but I still think that I did reasonably well. I just saw the ferns and thought that I should try the close up fern with the others in the background.

Now check out other depth of field picture

First Haircut

Oh my, my little girl is growing up so fast. I must say that the second child just seems to shoot up with out you even noticing. It is hard to believe that she was ever a little baby in arms, the baby stage seemed to just fly by and now we are getting first haircuts.

I initially just intended the little man to have his hair cut, he hates it when it starts to get in his eyes, so it is straight of to the hair dresser to have a trim. Well I had little miss with me and asked the lady what she thought, if she thought that it

Pineapple Pork Curry

This was a really yummy pork curry that I found, it is up to you really how hot you make it, it can be a mild curry or a hot curry, you take your pick.

Ingredients

1 tsp olive oil
500g pork (diced)
1 large brown onion
2 cloves garlic
2 tsp curry powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (this will still give it a bite, but if you like your curry hot then just add more)
100g snow peas, ends trimmed
1/4 fresh pineapple skin & core removed, cut into 2.5cm cubes

1 cup uncooked long grain rice, cooked to serve

What you need to do to put it all together

1. Heat the oil in a large heavy based saucepan over

Very Pleased!

Made By Us For You

Yes I am very pleased with myself, I have finished designing and putting together our new website for my Mum and I. As I mentioned before, I was knitting like crazy and that we were going to be selling hand made items that we have made our selves.

Well I was in charge of setting up the web site and getting it all sorted. There is still a bit of tweeking here and there to be done but overall I am pleased with how it has turned out. It is still early days so I am sure there will be a bit more learning on the way.

Considering
