Being a Mum is like flying a kite, you never know which way it is going to turn, it can turn really fast and end up crashing. Or it can just float happily and peacefully in one place, or simply sway from side to side

There always has to be a last room to clean, as we are selling the house we have had to de clutter and make the house look like someone might want to buy it. The agent says that you are not selling your clutter and your furniture, you are selling the house.

If you have sold a house or tried to sell a house, then you will know that this is easier said than done, certainly when you still have to live in the house that you are trying to sell, and more so when you have two extremely active toddlers to deal with. But of course you just get in there and do it, because you want people to like the house, so they will buy it.

It has all been a bit of a whirl wind, we saw the agent on the Monday and they wanted to have the pictures taken for the advertising on the Wednesday ready for the open house on the Saturday. So as you can imagine it was a mad rush to get everything organised.  We ended up with the main rooms finished for the photos, but fortunately you couldn’t see what was on the other side of the camera.

With many, very wonderful helping hands to help us out with some of the bits, it was all done. We ended up with a huge pile of bits and pieces to go to the storage unit. But eventually Yay!! we finished ready for the open house on Saturday.

BUT again there always has to be the last room to clean, ours was the office. It ended up being the place to put all the things that you really are not sure where to put, incase you might need them. You don’t really want to put them in storage as they might be valuable or while you are still living in the house you are going to need them. This is what our last room looked like on Friday, and then after the clean up this is what it looked like ready for  Saturday.
Have you sold a house and had to still live in it? Not easy hey! It is amazing what you can deal with when you have to.

Oh, good luck! We sold our house a few years ago when the kids were 2 and 5. I was basically a lunatic for five months cleaning the house and limiting the kids to only a few rooms! I wish you a quick and painless selling!

I know, you feel like all you say all day is “don’t do that”, “”Please, do you have to get all those toys out”. Hopefully it won’t take to long.:)

Okay, I’ve never had this much trouble with a web form - I accidentally pasted the Kellog’s web site instead of my blog which made my comment disappear. Here is what I was trying to say:

We sold our townhouse in the spring. Apparently, I packed up too quickly because my daughter started having really violent tantrums from the stress of it all. She straightened out as soon as we moved and our stuff came out of hiding. I think you need to strike a balance of being prepared and being comfortable. If you figure out how to do that, let me know, I’m moving again next month!

Also, if I posted all of that twice - sorry!

Post is all good, don’t panic. The children haven’t been to bad, the little man goes a bit crazy every now and then but I think he is just being a 3 year old.
I will be sure to let you know if I figure it out myself.
