Knitting Patons Wrap Vest
This week for our craft project I thought that I would share my knitting project with you all.
I am making the Patons Asymmetric Wrap Vest. Which is of course a Patons pattern, it is knitted sideways in one piece, it is classed as an easy knit.
I have knitted it on a circular needle as it would be to hard to fit all the stitches on a normal needle, at one stage during the knitting process you have 159 stitches.
The picture to the right is what it is suppose to look like when it is finished. A friend of mine has knitted one already and hers looks great, this is what made me want to knit one up for myself. She has put a pin to hold it rather than a belt, I will see which looks better when it is finished.
I previously knitted the yarn that I am using up in a different pattern, but I didn’t like it so I have unpicked that and am now knitting this pattern. Crazy person I know. So I hope that I like this one better so I don’t have to unpick it also.
The yarn I am using is the Patons Zhivago, it is a lovely yarn to knit with, very soft. This is the second wrap that I have knitted in the Zhivago.
The colour I have chosen is a charcoal grey, It is knitting up nicely so far, I will of course add a post with the finished product as soon as I finish it.
Unfortunately for me it is spring and starting to warm up here in Australia, so I won’t get to wear the finished product until next year. Oh Well, I just love to knit so it doesn’t really matter.
Below is a picture of what I have knitted so far, it looks a bit strange but I am sure that it will come together once I have finished it. Stay tuned
I put my foot in the picture so that you could get an idea of how big it is. The left side is the bottom, the holes are the arm holes and the right is the collar.
Do you enjoy knitting, or does it all just look like too much work?
