Being a Mum is like flying a kite, you never know which way it is going to turn, it can turn really fast and end up crashing. Or it can just float happily and peacefully in one place, or simply sway from side to side

Swimming Lessons

The Little Man goes to swimming lessons once a week, but as it was school holidays this week so we booked him in for a full week of lessons, half an hour each day.  As we have a pool at home, we think that it is important that he can at least get himself back to the edge if he falls in.

I think that it made a big difference to his swimming this time. It has taken him months to get him to put his face and head in the water, but all of a sudden it has just happened.

I was starting to get a bit worried about it,  I thought the time that he fell in the pool at home and sunk to the bottom, before we got him out, was the end of it all. I thought that this had caused him problems and he was never going to put his head under the water. But alas it made him more aware of the water and he has eventually built up the confidence to put his face in the water. Hip Hip Hoooray!!.

The teacher said that it would happen eventually, she was right. She also said that it is good for him to have a fear of the water, it makes them more aware of it.  This week though he was putting his face in the water all the time, and the teacher said to him ” you are just showing off now” that made the little man laugh. Well done little one.

He was very proud of himself when he received his first swimming certificate, for attending and completing the school holiday program, we are also very proud of him. He really enjoys his time in the pool.

When we returned home from the Little Man’s swimming lessons,  the two little ones decided that it would be fun to play with the goggles. This is what we ended up with, Little Miss insisted on doing it herself, missed the eyes a little I think. oops.  Little Man wanted a turn too, he was just being silly and copying Little Miss.

Don’t you find that Kids can be funny without even trying, and they really don’t need much to make them funny.
