Being a Mum is like flying a kite, you never know which way it is going to turn, it can turn really fast and end up crashing. Or it can just float happily and peacefully in one place, or simply sway from side to side

What A Mess!

The House is a Mess

Have you ever found yourself at the end of the day, when the children have all gone to bed, look around your house and think, oh my what happened to this house, it looks like a bomb has hit it. There are only two of them, surely they can’t make that much mess.

I have this feeling most days, I just take a deep breath and start at one end of the house and work my way through to the other end, toys from one end to the other. It is pointless cleaning them all up during the day, as they just get them all back out

Singing In The Car

I Love to Sing

I just LOVE singing in the car and always have, if I was to answer a questionnaire about my favorite things to do, one of them would be singing in the car.

Sometimes the Little Man really doesn’t like me singing “Don’t sing mummy!”, if it is a male singing he will say “it is my turn, this is the boys bit”, but then he never seems to sing along. It really depends if he knows the song.

Since having children, I find that more often than not the music we have playing in the car are the Wiggles or some children’s CD, hardly ever my own music, if

Breakfast on the Sydney Harbour Bridge

We were five of the lucky ones that got to join the 6000 people to have breakfast on the Sydney Harbour bridge. What an amazing experience, and a fantastic one at that.

Breast Cancer Pink Ribbon Day

Australia’s Cancer Council -  Pink Ribbon Day is on Monday 28th October.

My wonderful Sister volunteers for many things and today she was a volunteer to sell Pink Ribbon Day products, this is to raise money to fight breast cancer. They were selling them today, so people could get ready for Monday and have all the pink ready to go. We went along to visit and get our pink ribbon.

They are trying to Fight Breast Cancer through, Research, Support, Prevention and just creating awareness.

The statistics are very high, one in every nine women will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer by the age of 85, that is pretty scary. The scary part

Very Easy Paper Flowers

These are great little flowers to stick on the wall, you can put a bunch together and they look great.
Plus they are extremely easy, you can make one in no time, so a bunch of them wouldn’t take you long at all.

Drink Water, and Lots of it

Besides being a Mum, I enjoy reading and writing about health and weight loss, I will add in some posts every now and then, Enjoy!.

Why Drink Water?

I know that it has happened to me, you want to get rid of some extra weight but you just can’t seem to get rid of  it, but it could just be that you are not drinking enough water. Most people around you don’t drink enough water, but you guessed it you are not alone with this one. Many people decide to increase their water intake, but very few stick to it over time.

Reasons why you should drink water, and lots of it.

You need

Am I Being Selfish?

Am I being selfish, when sometimes I sit and play with the children, but in the back of my mind, I am thinking how nice it would be to have some time to myself. Even just a few hours, one day a week.

Now don’t get me wrong, I LOVE my children very much, and I LOVE being a stay home Mum, but you are always going to have one of those days. My children are my life and my world, but sometimes, just sometimes it would be nice to have some time out.

They grow so fast, and I enjoy every minute with them, just watching them grow. I should enjoy

Photo of the Week - Wk11

It was a rainy Sunday morning, so we had to amuse ourselves inside.

The Little Man put himself in a box, apparently it was a cot and he was now a baby.

It looks very strange, as it looks like he is half missing.

We had fun though, which is the main thing to keep us all sane.
